Home Prices Going Through the ~Roof~
Sorry for the pun, but home prices really are going through the roof. The median home price for existing US homes reached $375,000 (WSJ). Home prices are currently HIGHER than there were during the peak of the housing bubble in 2006. Just like inflation, I feel like I am a broken record when talking about high home prices. It is becoming harder for younger people to purchase homes because of the significant rise in home prices. This leads them to rent rather than buy. As someone who is graduating college and entering the workforce soon, this price trend scares me. Over time, I will need to save more and more money to buy a new home. Even if I maintain a frugal mindset, it could take way longer than I want to buy a home. As a wise man once said, home prices go brrrrrrrr.
All the Netflix Homies Say “DOWNGRADE”
Everyone is hopping on trashing on Netflix, but is it warranted? … probably so (I think?). I have spent a lot of time thinking about this whole Netflix debacle and part of me thinks that a lot of emotional selling is going on. When taking a step back, this seems like a terrific time to invest in the company if you are confident in its future. That is where I am conflicted. This is a high-growth company, but they seem to be losing its grasp on its subscribers. In terms of content, Netflix is really falling behind when compared to Hulu, HBO Max, or others. For example, Hulu is making some AMAZING original series like The Dropout or The Girl From Plainville. To me, it is no shock that Netflix is losing subscribers given their lack of quality content and increase in subscription prices. When looking at my Tweet below, a bunch of people downgraded Netflix after earnings… however there is one lone soul who actually gave them an UPGRADE.

At long last, the Nationals’ cherry blossom jersey is now in my possession! My last jersey was Bryce Harper’s… anddddd we do not talk about him anymore! I am always scared to purchase a jersey, but picking up a Juan Soto jersey felt right. Let me see how poorly this ages when he leaves Washington after his contract is up. I will absolutely cry if he leaves Washington. If the Nationals let another superstar leave the franchise, I will not be a happy fan.
I am also going to a Nats game today! I am not expecting much from the Nationals since their season is off to a rocky start. It is also my girlfriend (KP) and mom’s birthday, so let the good times roll!

Looking good mate! Median house prices here are just out of control too! Over one mil (AUD) for the average Sydney house now it's almost an impossible dream for young people to own one.
